Walking around New York City was what Mitty Blake did best. He loved the city, and even after 9/11, he always felt safe. Mitty was a carefree guyhe didnt worry about terrorists or blackouts or grades or anything, which is why he was late getting started on his Advanced Bio report. Mitty does feel a little pressure to hand something inif he doesnt, hell be switched out of Advanced Bio, which would be unfortunate since Olivias in Advanced Bio. So he considers it good luck when he finds some old medical books in his familys weekend house that focus on something he could write about. But when he discovers an old envelope with two scabs in one of the books, the report is no longer about the gradeits about life and death. His own. This edge-of-your-seat thriller will leave you breathless. From the Hardcover edition.

I don't know if it's just me, but I CANNOT get into Cooney's writing style. I also feel like her plots feel a little disjointed. I was hoping I'd feel different about this one but from the very first page I knew I was going to have a rough time finishing it.

I think her books are much more suited to be movies than reading material. They're full of action that just doesn't play out well for me as a reader.

As Mitty Blake is a carefree guy even after 9/11
he‘s always felt safe he doesn‘t worry about school, blackouts or terrorist. But this all changed when he went to is family‘s weekend house and he found a letter with two scabs in it that have the possibility to kill everyone in New York now it‘s up to him to save New York.

MissYaremcio OOO this sounds like a good book! Make sure that when you are doing the Litsy assignments that you are including all elements of the assignment (you were missing the tone and the recommendation)! 5y
