#MarchIntoOz #AloneWithYou
Rosamund finds herself unmarried and pregnant and decides to bring up her baby alone - almost unheard of in the 1960s when it was written. I read the novel as a young teenager in the 70's when it was still pretty rare (where I grew up, anyway). It had quite an impact on me.
Cathythoughts Lovely take on this prompt... not easy for Rosamund ( havnt read , but can imagine) . You are making me think too , of the mother / baby reverie & being alone with your baby in the magic moments .... alone with you 7y
CarolynM @Cathythoughts I was struggling until I thought of the mother/baby reverie, as you say. I loved the book when I read it, it was a bit daring but not graphic and had quite a good proto feminist message. (edited) 7y
