Does anyone have any suggestions on getting your reviews posted on Amazon?

I‘ve never had a problem before (and I‘m not doing anything differently that I‘m aware of), but they keep denying them. I‘ve tried re-writing them as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyone else having this issue?

julesG Amazon wouldn't let me review books for two reasons, 1) no reviews until I had spent money on Amazon within a certain period of time; 2) I hadn't bought the book I tried to review. Both issues resolved themselves over time. Currently I'm having issues with Audible. But that seems to be a glitch in the app (or the Matrix? 🤔🤪) 1y
robinb @julesG Thanks, Julia! :) The spending money there shouldn't be an issue for me (unfortunately), but I don't always buy the books as a good many are arc books that I review. Hopefully it will resolve itself. It's just frustrating. Hope your Audible issue gets straightened out. 1y
Kristy_K I‘ve noticed if you put you received a free copy (or some wording like that), they won‘t post them anymore. I didn‘t see anything that said I couldn‘t review ARCs on there. Mine seem to be fine once I took out the disclaimer but had been getting denied for a while as well. 1y

julesG @Kristy_K I've heard that. 1y
robinb @Kristy_K Thanks! I've always included that disclaimer because I read somewhere that you should always include that in your reviews. Is it not necessary to have the free arc wording in there? 1y
Kristy_K @robinb I always included it for the same reason but when I read their rules for posting a review, it didn‘t say it was required. 1y
Kristy_K @robinb I found this on their help page: It‘s OK to review a free or discounted book (advanced reader copy) that you received from an author or publisher.
However, they can‘t require a review in exchange or try to influence the review.

robinb @Kristy_K Thank you. It seems to be a slippery slope sometimes. Some publishers ask that you include the disclaimer. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I‘m going to try it both ways on Amazon and see if that gets me anywhere. 1y
julesG Robin, @Kristy_K yes, some publishers ask for a disclaimer. Maybe wording it differently might help. But I have no idea how that would look. 1y
robinb @julesG I‘ve actually tried that. Unfortunately there are only so many ways to say “I got a free arc…yahoo!!” 😂😂😂 1y
