As a #longtimefed I worked all but about two years in Washington DC. I hated the traffic but loved and still love the city. This attack on feds is also an attack on the city. While the majority of feds work around the country, and far from all DC residents work for the government, shutting down so many agencies at once is going to have an effect on the city.

But here‘s the thing: all federal employees are human beings, as are all DC residents.⬇️

Tove_Reads I love D.C. I lived there 20 years ago, on 2nd st NE. Still cherish that place, but I like to keep the D.C. I knew on my mind, not the sh*tshow it is today. 1mo
