A few storylines were too pat and unbelievable but overall it was a good read. I continue to enjoy the Nantucket setting.

Although it wasn't my favorite, I've always liked this author for summer reads. I love a good story that takes place on any New England island. The story has connections to Emporia and Kansas City, KS through the young professor Courtney. It kept my interest because I'm from Kansas🌻
I read this one over the weekend and honestly hated everything about it. For such a short book it was incredibly repetitive and just silly. This one is going straight into the donations pile and #goodriddance. #90sinjuly
#9. Getaways Gone Wrong..
So, I look up books about Gateway Gone Wrong for the #sizzlinsummerbooks and this what it given me. @Tiffy_Reads
Whenever I read a Nancy Thayer or Elin hilderbrand books set on Nantucket, I always feel like I'm taking a mini-vacation myself. Nancy Thayer does not disappoint with The Island House. A little slow going to start, it may have been my frame of mind at the time. By nights 2 & 3, couldn't put it down . I'd actually love to see a sequel to this book 😁
As we get into summer I find myself craving beach books.... Enjoyable, fun reads with strong women living life with family and friends add in some romance and bonus points if it's set at the beach!!! The Island House by Nancy Thayer hits all of those points and was just what I was craving!!
Dottie and Jennifer have similar tastes in books so you‘ll often see them reviewing the same books. But sometimes they have differing opinions. This is one of those times.
