Two of my 5 Star #darkness books. Can‘t go wrong with Ian Rankin‘s writing style with the Rebus books and although different to some of her other books loved this one from Barbara Erskine (always one of my favourite authors). #readingresolutions

Melissa_J That is the only Erskine book I‘ve read (or tried to read since I bailed) that I didn‘t enjoy 😢 7y
Andrew65 @Melissa_J It is very different to her others (my wife wasn‘t a great fan of this one) my favourites would be her Chunksters, Lady Of Hay, Child Of the Phoenix and Kingdom of Shadows. @Tove_Reads if you haven‘t read these I would very strongly recommend them. #YearoftheChunkster 7y

#rocktober #DarkNecessities I think one of my many 5 star reads from Barbara Erskine fits this theme, On The Edge of Darkness. She likes this dark theme, other titles that fit it include Hiding From the Light, The Darkest Hour, The Kingdom of Shadows, Midnight is a Lonely Place. Love everything she writes.
