Read more of Entry Island last night; it‘s really good, and Peter May is a terrific writer, but it‘s dark and ominous as well, and . . . so I switched to a book from my own extensive collection, and it fits where we‘re at right now in many ways. In recent years I‘ve trended toward library books—I buy when I‘m in an independent bookstore, and I receive books as gifts, but otherwise it‘s my wonderful local library.
Had never heard of these books but I received them as part of a postal book club - very interesting. One woman‘s actual journals during WWII and the years after. It was part of a project that collected diary entries during the war.
