First Things First
First Things First | Stephen R. Covey, A. Roger Merrill, Rebecca R. Merrill
5 posts | 8 read | 2 reading | 6 to read
Stephen R. Coveys First Things First is the gold standard for time management. His principle-centered approach for prioritizing gives the reader the security to make changes and sacrifices needed in order to obtain happiness. First Things First takes this philosophy and reworks the text, adding user friendly and concise graphics. These added elements aid in summarizing and analyzing all of the layers behind the philosophy in an efficient manner, while retaining the core message.

Yepp, I took more useful advice out of this than I expected to. In consequence, I liked it more than I thought I would. I will definitely keep it I‘m my list of favourite Blinks. I‘m not through with it even though I finished it. It gave ideas a push I haven‘t considered “properly”, I think … So I need some time to reflect on my own and then come back to it.

Absolute recommendation if you want to find a way to put “First Things First”.

So I went ahead and got an extra shelf. This required a little tweaking to the overall arrangement, but I‘m happy with the result. No weird gaps, everything is visible and accessible, some #unshelfing was accomplished, and there‘s room to grow. While at IKEA I also got some pretty salad plates to replace those that have been broken over the years.

Cortg Nice Bobbleheads! 5y
Crazeedi That's a great bookshelf, looks like lots of room! I need a big one like that. To god with my other big one, and several little ones, lol 5y
Susanita @Cortg Thanks! They have room to grow too! 5y
Susanita @Crazeedi It‘s even nicer than I expected to have (almost) everything in the same place. 5y

In the process of moving to a cheaper apartment in a pet friendly building. Hired the expensive movers for the important bookcases and the 18! (:-o) boxes of books. The rest will be moved by less careful movers next week.

WanderingBookaneer @BookishMarginalia and I will be moving soon. Do you mind if I ask you how much the movers charged for the books? You may reply by email: JaimitaPR @ yahoo 7y
Cinfhen Hi @WanderingBookaneer I mailed your package on Friday...hopefully it gets to you before you move....I was told 12-14 days🤞🏼🤞🏼 7y
Liz_M @WanderingBookaneer On a co-worker's recommendation, hired Band with a Van. $150 for the first hour and $50 per half hour after that. It took just under two hours for the two movers. One of the bookcases was almost too big for the elevator and they were very careful tipping it and supporting it for its lone journey to the van. 7y

Every time I get bogged down with day to day errands, and my job...I reach out to THIS book. I'm seriously considering daily/weekly planner. Who else does that? Is there anyone here who is pursing 'book related venture as a passion' project? There are just not enough hours in a day!!
