I read this book in one night. I couldn‘t put it down with the twists it had. I also felt sorry for Hannah and learned more about mental illness than I thought I knew.
Hannah knows there's been a mistake. She doesn't need to be institutionalized. What happened to her roommate at that summer program was an accident.
Then Lucy arrives. Lucy has her own baggage, and she's the perfect project to keep Hannah's focus off all she is missing at home.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.

#doublespin #bookspin. My second pic done. Been pretty good about actually reading my pics, but I have dnfed a few in the past. Anyways this was ok, had a few twists in it. But because I accidentally spoiled myself trying to find the page count, it didn‘t affect me too much.

Hannah Gold was born mature or that‘s what her parents tell her. She is extremely intelligent and always been very aware of how smart she is but after an accident involving her roommate she is institutionalized and everything she knew about herself she questions.

I really enjoyed Hannah as a unreliable narrator and her journey learning that she does have a mental illness.

Great Book about a young‘s girls mental state. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was I felt the ending was meh. I do think the ending would reflect real life, but I wanted a shocking ending, a plot twist. Otherwise a great read.

Boring & anticlimactic. I dislike first person point of view & this character has very limited dialogue throughout the book. I almost DNFed but figured it was a quick, easy read so I trudged through. The idea was OK & could have definitely been expanded with more complex situations. The writing was mediocre, simple. I didn't hate it to the point of burning it but I'm only glad I continued to read it because I'm trying to DNF less books this year.

I really liked this ya. A girl is being held in a psych hospital and is desperate to get out. You find out what happened to her before she was admitted while she is trying to work her new surroundings. Unreliable narrator in the best way.

Impulsively bought this after losing multiple goodreads giveaways without knowing much about it. Probably would have skipped it if I'd known it was a YA novel, but, it was actually pretty good, just the quick and easy read I was in the mood for. I didn't feel like it romanticized mental illness quite as badly as so many books do. I was pleasantly surprised.

Book number 22 of my year. I had a different one picked but it‘ll be delivered later today so I‘m going to read this while I wait. Definitely feeling the title today 😆

Caffeinated_Reader From the beginning I could tell there was something wrong with Hannah. Just waaaay off. Weird. I feel so sad for her, now knowing why. Her parents are real ass hats lol but yeah it was a very fast read. Kept me turning pages all day to find out all the why‘s and how‘s and all that. Definitely a book worth reading. (edited) 6y

Four walls. One window. No way to escape. Hannah knows there's been a mistake. She didn't need to be institutionalized. What happened to her roommate at her summer program was an accident. As soon as the doctors and judge figure out that she isn't a danger to herself or others, she can go home.

Then Lucy arrives. She may be the only person who can get her to confront the dangerous secrets that landed her there in the first place.
