pickI got sucked into this story really quickly. I felt for the vulnerable queen that didn‘t feel like she had the power her title called for, the young girl hiding in plain site. A matriarchal state vs. a theocracy. Slight magic. Lots of adventures: on the sea, in the woods, in a palace… definitely a good read! 8/10
pickI‘m so glad @NerdettePodcast recommended this audiobook because I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be listening to the sequels.
pickWOW! I am blown away! A Queen in Hiding, an amazing novel of treason, for power & greed in a magical world of sorcery and Gods. An epic beginning to The Nine Realms with precise, easy to follow world building. Oh! Love the animals! Treasure found. Definitely a keeper. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am really enjoying this right now. I wish that my library app had these in ebook so I could continue to binge the series since I am stuck here at home. I would be even happier if I could get my hands on physical books but with boths jobs on hold I put myself on a book buying ban 😟😢

Tor Publishing usually hits it out of the park with their marketing team, but this book looks to be a huge honking miss for me.
There's probably a limit to what a writer can do to express the mind of an 8-year-old, but adult-me has to able to read it too, and this dialogue is just painful.
