Little Kids First Big Book of the Ocean is a NF book written by Catherine D. Hughes. This NF book lets students learn about the ocean in a fun way! I think this book would be an IR book. This book goes into depth about the ocean and for students who want to learn about the animals that live there this is a good choice. #LAE3414sp19

LaGasseSam1996 The ocean is full of amazing animals and plants UDL 1.2 would allow student to see it instead of just hearing about it in a book. Using the internet, teachers can search for animals or plants for the students to see and learn about. They can find videos for students to watch so they experience it 6y

If you are going to do a lesson plan that involves the ocean or any of the things in the ocean you will need to teach that vocabulary to ESOL students. ESOL 5 would be important for the student so they can place the meaning of the word with the picture. ESOL 17 would also be helpful to students they would see the plant or animal and make that connection.

LaGasseSam1996 https://educators.brainpop.com/lesson-plan/ocean-habitats-background-information... . BrainPop has an amazing lesson plan for teaching students about the ocean. In the video it will show students the levels of the ocean and explain the animals that live there. 6y
DrSpalding How many times have you heard me say it doesn‘t get better than National Geographic! I love that you used brain pop as a resource. So smart. 6y
