The Carrot Seed is an old story but is just as relevant as today as it was over 60 years ago. The boy in the story was told his seed would not grow but he pushed through what those around him said. The cute story accompanied by the easy on the eyes art style made for a great childrens book.
The carrot seed is a story about persevering and it a good lesson to show your kids. The boy in the story is told that his seed will not grow, but he does not let that from stopping him.
“And then one day, a carrot came up, just as the little boy had known it would.“
“And then one day, a carrot came up, just as the little boy had known it would.”
This is a cute story and the boy had taken much care of his carrot seed. Everyone said his seed wouldn‘t come up since carrots grow in the ground but he stayed hopeful.
The carrot seed by Ruth Krauss is a picture book that was published in 1945. Is about a little boy who planted a seed and waited to see if his seed would sprout. His mother and father and brother said his seed “won‘t come up.” He has hoped for days while he took care of the surrounding area around the seed. Then one day a carrot had came up just as he had hoped for.
#funfridayphoto I think it was this book that inspired me to be a gardener, back when I was still learning to read. Also loved Harold and the Purple Crayon.
