#LitsyBitsy #ThatsUnusual Repost from @KristenDuck Someone else went to Ringing Rocks Park:

Today, my boyfriend and I hiked at Ringing Rocks State Park, a Park literally made of one large waterfall, a creek, a couple trails, and - yes, you guessed it - a TON of rocks!

But why are they so cool? Bring your hammer, because when you tap them, they legitimately ring. I was hesitant at first, but it worked!

Never seen a park quite like this before.

JenniferEgnor Husband and I were in PA on vacation a couple years ago and this was on our list of things to see but we didn‘t make it there. 4y
EadieB @JenniferEgnor Maybe you'll get a chance to go back sometime. 4y
JenniferEgnor @EadieB we plan on it! 4y

Park nearby where the rocks ring when hit with a hammer.

Ringing Rocks County Park is a Bucks County park in Upper Black Eddy. Originally, the land was acquired by the Penn family from the Lenape (Delaware Nation) through the infamous 1737 Walking Purchase. On August 22, 1918, the land was donated to the Bucks County Historical Society. Later, the land was transferred to Bucks County and operated as a county park.

Cuilin that is unusual 👍 4y

Every October where I grew up, I have memories of my friends and other teens daring each other to visit the “Seven Gates of Hell“ in a wooded area off a small road in Hellam. When I think Urban Legends, this is the first thing I think of, and it made it into the Weird Pennsylvania book. 😃

I own a few of these books - very popular in the ‘00 decade, these books showcase odd and bizarre places in each state. I‘m tagging PA, since that‘s my state. Haunted locations, abandoned sites, bizarre buildings, and folklore all play a part. It‘s a fun way to learn a little bit more about a place. #GetUrFreakOn #LilithJuly

KathyWheeler I have the Louisiana one. It‘s a fun one. 5y
KarenUK Great choice 👍💕 5y

If this is not weird Pennsylvania, I don‘t know what is!!

JacqMac That sounds very cool. 6y
BennettBookworm I want to go! 6y
KristenDuck @JacqMac it is certainly unlike any other park I‘ve hiked in 6y

KristenDuck @BennettBookworm if you ever go, leave behind the water bottle - sometimes I needed an extra hand to grab a rock to ensure my balance! 6y
BennettBookworm Haha that‘s good to know, thanks! As a PA native it‘s so fun to hear about new places to explore! 6y
JenniferEgnor I read about that in that book. My husband and I were in PA last December on vacation and it was on our list but we didn‘t make it! 6y
KristenDuck @JenniferEgnor maybe next time! 6y
