“Forgive me, but today our bodies are the spell and the water is the altar”
Finally finished and I can say I loved this book as much as I did A Woman Most Wild. I like Dukakis as her writing is not racist, homophobic, transphobic or any of that. If you‘re interested in feminine spirituality or goddess spirituality thesis is a good place to start.
Sometimes a girl must be naughty and sneak some treats while reading!
I really wish I was out in the holy wild today. But instead I‘m stuck at home. It will be a few weeks before we get back out into nature 😔 this was taken at redbanks conservation park a few weeks back.
The thing I am loving so much about this book is the personal mythwork. It‘s really helping me get inside my own psyche to the core of myself.
Taking a few minutes on this cloudy grey day to catch up on this book.
A very wild and foggy morning to everyone from here. I have not seen fog this thick before and it‘s getting heavier! I love it. It has such a magic and mysterious air to it. Now if people would actually use their lights it would be good. Waiting for a smack out the front any time now.
It‘s been so hard to find a moment to myself of late. So today is calling for a big amount of self care including pjs all day, reading and maybe some craft. It also calls for some connection with the kids....it‘s been hard going round here between extended family and commitments.
I‘m trying hard to calm my mind while I have a small breather from everyone in the house being awake. But the racism and hurt in the world is leaving me heavy hearted. The rampant transphobia that‘s abounding is bringing me sadness. When racists hold power and transphobes have a platform to spew hate the world is dark. I can only imagine how much it‘s hurting BIPOC and trans/ non binary people.
I‘m no artist, but this is one of the activities from this book. It was rather enjoyable to do.
Book in hand, hot cardio on, fenugreek and aniseed tea and the house still sleep. I‘m going to enjoy this a while.
I want to read while the kids are asleep but she is sitting right on my book! And I don‘t want to disturb her as she is so anxious and rarely sits near us let alone purrs away. So I‘m going to spend half an hour patting the cat instead.
Time to start this one.
Look what came!
