#NCBD! Middlewest #2-5 is for @ElishaLovesBooks & her co-teacher as they look for ways to use comics in the classroom (yes, they are super cool teachers). Wonder Woman #67 with another great variant cover, Champions #4 & Deadpool #11 because, as always, if it‘s written by Skottie Young I‘ll read it. Wednesdays are a little more awesome when they include a visit to Chicago Comics to see what‘s new, what the staff recommends & to just talk comics.

I. Love. This. Comic. A fantastic story—it‘s an epic fantasy with an engaging hero, talking fox, magic, & a quest set in the rural Midwest!!!—beautiful art—it takes me two or three times reading the comic before I see everything & then I have to look at it again...& again...& again—& mesmerizing colors which not only enhance the story, but also help to tell it in a, dare I say it, unique way. A visually stunning comic & one I highly recommend.
