Royal City Volume 3: We All Float On | Jeff Lemire

Volume 3 is an immensely satisfying, & moving, conclusion to Lemire's Royal City. RC has more in common with Lemire's works of desperate characters in bad situations (ie Roughneck & Underwater Welder) than his action oriented work. As stated in previous post about RC, I found his take on the ghost story unique. I just noticed that he has plans for a revival next year. I'm cautiously optimistic, as I've heard his recent work has suffered a bit 👇

I am doing the same review for all three volumes. Highly recommend. If you like stories about families in dying/dead towns (e.g. Empire Falls) you will enjoy this. The added ghost elements make it even better. The art is excellent but may not be everyone‘s cup of tea.
