Came for the title, stayed because I‘m an absolute sucker for meta commentary on tropes. A lot of this book was very imaginative and well done but the pacing wasn‘t always on point. Overall though it‘s a quick read that‘s especially fun if you recognize what manic pixie scenes and characters are getting parodied.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk I read a great article about Say Anything... yesterday that pointed out that Lloyd is a manic pixie dream guy and Diane is more of the main character which makes total sense if you think about it. 6y
