“If you betray friend, don‘t be surprised when someone betrays you”. This quote ties together the whole story and proves a point to be kind to one another.

This fable has a great lesson and would be good to show students if they start being mean to each other. I would read this to an older elementary classroom.
Fables
I read the fable of “The Donkey, The Jackal and The Lion”. This story is about Jackal and a Donkey working together to find each other food. Eventually they left the watering to the next valley to find more water where the Jackal came across a Lion. He trapped the donkey and tried to get the lion to each the donkey, but instead ate the Jackal and then the donkey. It‘s a tale that reminds readers that you shouldn‘t betray your friends.
Traditional lit. Aesop‘s Fables is a collection of stories with important messages for children to learn. Each story has the lesson written at the bottom of the page. I think this is important and great for kids because it will help them to understand what the story means.
I really like this book! I think it‘s interesting and has great messages for children.
The illustrations are phenomenal in this book - exactly what I would picture in my head while reading the story.
This is such a great collection of stories. I loved the author‘s note at the beginning of the book talking about the origins of these stories. I also think they are super important in the sense that not all of the stories have a happy ending. Yet, these books are still told in a fun, child-like manner.
This is a compilation of multiple African stories- great for teaching diversity and culture
