Blue Ocean Strategy
Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant | W. Chan Kim, Renee Mauborgne
Written by the business world's new gurus, Blue Ocean Strategy continues to challenge everything you thought you knew about competing in todays crowded market place. Based on a study of 150 strategic moves spanning more than a hundred years and thirty industries, authors W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne argue that lasting success comes from creating 'blue oceans': untapped new market spaces ripe from growth. And the business world has caught on- companies around the world are skipping the bloody red oceans of rivals and creating their very own blue oceans. With over one million copies sold world wide, Blue Ocean Strategy is quickly reaching "must read" status among smart business readers. Have you caught the wave?

Blue ocean strategy was repeated so many times throughout this text. After it‘s been introduced and explained and touched back on a few times enough is enough, we get it do something different that others don‘t. That‘s the entire premise for this book. #So-So #OnTotheNext

I picked up this book bc I saw it on a list of titles the Harvard Business School has their students read, so I figured at the rate I'm consuming audiobooks why not.

I found it to be very interesting, describing how companies saw a need for change and not only capitalized on it, but were able to anticipate trends that were wasting money& were going out of fashion (Ex: Cirque du Soleil). There's a lot of good information here.
