“And sure enough, in time, she felt right at home.”
I really enjoyed this because it shows no matter where you are, you can find a home and friends.

the illustrations were absolutely beautiful. i couldn‘t tell if they were photographed because of the detail in them and the backgrounds were blurred but so clear! also, they added the depth of the butterfly garden because it didn‘t describe it but the pictures did.
I love the part of the book where you open up the two pages and it‘s a big picture of all the people with the butterflies.

Butterfly Park by Elly Mackay

The sharpness in the illustrations brings emphasis on certain aspects of the pictures that the illustrator wants us to pay attention to. The details in the butterflies make them stand out. The colors throughout the book are beautiful. It‘s a very cute book with a good ending.
I felt like the book was a good story to read but it was not my favorite. I love the illustrations and how the theme of perseverance is key to this book but I did not connect to it as much as I thought that I would have. The pictures were beautiful, and the characterization of the main girl was sweet. However, I did not get the connection to this book that I would normally get through reading.
