Playing catch up - no coyote but plenty of foxes in a book I read aloud to my son a couple of years ago. It‘s about a den of soccer mad foxes who want to help their favourite (human) team win a game. They start hearing from a ghost who says he‘ll help them if they help him. It‘s the ghost of Richard III who has a few choice things to say about how he‘s been portrayed by Shakespeare 😂 It sounds crazy but it‘s really good ⬇️
Centique Michael Morpurgo is a great writer for 6-10 year olds and a lot of his books have a historical slant. This is inspired by the real life discovery of Richard IIIs bones in Leicester in 2012 which coincided with their soccer team winning the premiership - so he put both events into the book! 6y

Centique @Velvetfur it‘s so cute right? 😍 6y
Clare-Dragonfly This sounds oddly familiar. I wonder if I read it as a kid. 🤔 It certainly doesn‘t sound like my usual fare, then or now, but if I‘d gotten my hands on it, I would have read it! Edit: Not if it was published in 2012! (edited) 6y
TheKidUpstairs That sounds delightfully weird! 6y
