“I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us whether we be six or sixty.”
“I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us whether we be six or sixty.”
Students will explore the life and creativity of Walt Disney. Students will discuss the importance of creativity, perseverance, and problem-solving in achieving their dreams. Students will participate in a hands-on activity where they create their own character or story, inspired by Walt's imaginative legacy.
This picture book biography shows the extraordinary life of Walt Disney. From his childhood in Missouri to creating characters like Mickey Mouse and establishing Disneyland. Rappaport captures Walt's imagination and dedication to storytelling. This inspiring biography not only highlights Disney's achievements but also shows the importance of creativity and perseverance in one‘s dreams.
This is a blame my local indie pick - a Decent kids biography, although a little dry. The alternate colored text for direct quotes from Walt was a nice touch and they are interspersed with the text in such a way as to seem natural, as though the author was having an interview with him and the reader was in the audience. The illustrations are beautiful.
