I gratefully received this in the mail today from Holocaust Memorial Day Trust because I led several activities on HMD last year. I can‘t wait to start it! I find survivor testimony so interesting and it‘s crucial in preserving the story and memory of the Holocaust.

This is an interesting little book, geared to younger readers about one woman‘s life lived through the atrocity of the concentration camps. It‘s set up as questions and answers and is written simply and clearly. There are concrete answers as well as more philosophical ones but it is all presented very accessibly. I‘m officially alternating between a previously unfinished book and a new to me read. I just finished the previously unfinished one so next up is this new to me read.

This book, which I received as an #EarlyReviewer from #LibraryThing arrived today. It is compelling reading which I should finish later this evening.

In clear, considered, and vivid prose survivor Hédi Fried answers the questions we all have inside us about the horrors of the Holocaust. In this time more than ever, accessible books on this subject are so necessary.
