Well living in Illinois finally paid off! And I didn't have to travel to see this...just stepped outside while at work. 100% coverage. Both amazing and eerie.

Texreader Yay!!! We were in path of totality, but also path of thick cloud cover. It was so so sad. We got a few glimpses before and after but not during so we just enjoyed the ambiance 1mo

This worked better in 2017 due to a more complete eclipse over Colorado and fuller leaves- it was summer- but I still like today's photo too. 😁🌘 @dabbe

marleed Oh cool. We had 90% coverage. I was walking my sleeping grandson with his stroller top completely covering his view. I was so fearful he‘d wake up that I returned home just minutes before the eeriness. What was odd the view out my windows seemed pretty clear (no solar lights came on) but it was obvious natural light wasn‘t coming into the house. I was able to see the 2017 total eclipse from my backyard - no grandbabies then. 1mo

Roary47 I wasn‘t, but my students sure throught they were. “Can we go see it”, “Do you have the glasses”, “I looked at the sun am I going to go blind”, “Can I go to the ‘Bathroom‘”.., whew… what a day. 🤣 (edited) 1mo
