Oh my goodness, another epic adventure. This one has a LOT of dragons, and I loved it. Lots of cool spins on dragons as fantastical creatures. I only started suspecting Gavin when he went off to take care of the hydra on his own at the end, but I did NOT think he was Navarog!! Holy crap. And then Raxtus ate him! Haha, I enjoyed Raxtus, the fairy dragon—very unique character. Also, Seth‘s developing abilities as a shadow charmer are pretty cool.
It has probably been 10 years since I finished book 3 in this series, but I have always said that I eventually wanted to carry on with it! It was a little difficult to remember everything and everyone, but that didn't really affect my enjoyment. This series is just as engrossing of a fantasy story as I remember. Glad I picked it back up, for sure. Hopefully it won't take another 10 years before I read the last book in the series!
I love when there are beautiful details on hardcover books when you take off the jacket 💜 Revisiting the Fablehaven series has not been disappointing! 2 more & I can finally read his newest book, Dragonwatch 🐲🐉
