Dear Sister
Dear Sister | Alison McGhee
3 posts | 7 read | 5 to read
What do you do when you have an incredibly annoying little sister? Write her letters telling her so, of course! From New York Times bestselling author Alison McGhee comes a wickedly funny, illustrated, heartwarming, and deeply honest collection of letters from an older brother to his little sister. Whininess, annoyingness, afraid of the darkness, refusal to eat lima beans, and pulling brothers hair. This is the criteria on which little sisters are graded. Inspired by the notes Alison McGhees own kids would write each other, this heavily illustrated collection of letters and messages from an older brother to his little sister reveal the special loveor, at the very least, tolerancesiblings have for each other.

Did I read this while I should have been cataloguing it? Yes. Yes, I did. It‘s really sweet, and I hope more people read it slash more libraries buy it! #LibrariansofLitsy

It was okay 🤷🏼‍♀️. A really quick read about a brother dealing with the pain that comes from having a much younger sibling. Cute ending. I'm an only child, so maybe that's why it was just 'ehh ok' for me.

Found this SWEET book at the library! Aw!!! 😢 Love when you just happen upon a book and it turns out amazing. A brother‘s “ode” to his sister.

Tamra This looks like it will be fun to read aloud with my kids! 6y
