so-soI love coming of age horror stories especially ones that involve summer and haunted houses. Set in small town Utah about Ret and his gang of that are dared to sleep over at the crooked house. From there a little mystery ensues as they investigate the history of the house. The story ramps up the spookyiness as the try and solve it. The build up was excellent but ending was a little disappointing. A quick easy read that will appeal to young readers.
pickI enjoyed this book and the story. Our main character was a kid in the summer who was bored and like to do stuff with his friends. A strange man moves into the creepy house next door to him and weird stuff starts to happen like people missing, dying or changing their personalities all together.Without giving too much away, let's just say the end was confusing. I gave it three and a half stars (half star for Star Wars references)
pickThis was an interesting read. To start with I wasnt sure but it picked up as the story went on. It's not my usual sort of genre but I find it worth the read. The ending was really good if kind of sad. It was lacking a little in detail and atmosphere but a good read despite that.
