Ivy and bean is a very fun cute book that I would include in my library, however it is not as relatable when it comes to what kids do for fun.

Pickpick

“Ivy and Bean Break the Fossil Record“ presents a fun and imaginative take on childhood adventures, focusing on themes of friendship, curiosity, and exploration. While it captures the essence of play and creativity, it may not fully represent the complexities and challenges many children face today. Students may find it hard to relate to.

Pickpick

Contemporary realistic fiction, 2007. The main character of the series, Bean, is a restless, quirky second grader who likes doing things in her own way. Ivy, a quiet bookworm, seems the opposite of Bean, but she understands her best friend better than anybody else. Bean is bored during a reading class until the teacher gives her an Amazing Book of World Records. Since then, Bean can‘t think of anything but breaking a world record herself.

Today‘s scores! I hate being home when my excellent cleaner is in the house so today I ran some errands, got a large chai latte and walked up the steep street to the little free library. Always hard after a holiday! Just having some lunch then off to the beach to read for an hour or so. Times like these I am glad I am a school teacher!
