Buccieri writes, "i am the only thing i will carry," but she manages to not only carry us through the implications of a society that "others," but she also drops us into language that resists and jabs at that exact act of "othering." This is an exciting, experimental, and rhythmic voice that creates a space in which we can explore how we are labeled and how we ourselves label. Buccieri doesn't beg for answers but rather urges us to expand our language, assumptions, and ideologies.
