Anastasia
Anastasia: The Lost Princess | James B. Lovell
1 post | 5 to read
It is one of the greatest riddles of all time: Did Anastasia, youngest daughter of the last Russian Czar, survive the massacre of the royal family in 1917? James Blair Lovell's painstaking research proves, beyond a doubt, that Anna Anderson--who claimed until her death in 1984 she was Anastasia--indeed was. "Reads like a detective novel".--Publishers Week.

Happy long weekend for those in the US!

1. I‘ve always thought the idea Anastasia survived the revolution was sweet. I‘m not sure I believe them, though it‘s compelling and romantic.

2. I think they are mostly just wistful or romantic versions of events we wish weren‘t true.

3. I know a lot about archaeological hoaxes, all of which derive from someone “proving” pet theories, like that humans evolved in Britain (piltdown man). See below for bk!

BookmarkTavern I‘ve always been fascinated by stories about Anastasia. Thanks for posting! 3y
