I find this episode really disturbing in light of current events. The part of the episode that has stuck with me is where Marritza said he hid under his desk while hearing the screams of tortured Bajorans. If I look in the mirror, sometimes I feel that is me. There are POC dying in police custody. There are children in cages at the border. I tweet about it. I exercise my right to vote, but I need to do more. #Duet #StarTrekSummerJune
TheBookDream What can we do? Sometimes I think the sheer size of our country hurts in this regard. For protests you need people in one place to make a point. Donate to the ACLU. What else? (edited) 5y
Megabooks @TheBookDream I know. I‘m a 12+ hour drive from Dallas, much less El Paso. I just feel like everyone is so passionate one way or the other, there is no listening. I‘m donating to dems and Act Blue. ACLU is a good idea. I‘m also going to join my local Democratic Party. 🤷🏻♀️ 5y
