Yes, this also was lovely. Although I it didn‘t capture me in the same way “Lindbergh” did.

Also, it‘s naturally that I lack all the beautiful illustrations Kuhlmann‘s books are said to have … But Bastian Pastewka once more speaking all the characters is brilliant.

Nice little entertainment. Perfect for doing chores.

Deifio We thought the same thing about Edison and Lindbergh. Actually I don't think we even finished Edison. 5y

It‘s a rather short audiobook but I am sure it will be nice to entertain me during preparing food. I stumbled across it in my library some time ago and remembered that @PickwickPlockPlock recommended “Lindbergh” by the same author to me. “Lindbergh” was really cute and so I start this tiny story (only 50 minutes) with similar high hopes. ☺️ PickwickPlockPlock, do you know it❓

PickwickPlockPlock Oh, no I haven't heard of it! Is itin Onleihe? 5y
Buechersuechtling @PickwickPlockPlock Yes, it is. At least I found my copy there. 5y
PickwickPlockPlock @Buechersuechtling Dann setze ich es mal auf den Merkzettel (dafür fällt mir gerade das englische Wort nicht ein 😁) 5y

„The world of mice has changed, smart mice are studying at mouse universities, and they are curious about human inventions. Thanks to an old diary of his ancestor, the young mouse Pete learns of a treasure which is said to be lost on the bottom of the sea. With the help of his mouse professor, he wants to recover it. They both not only experience a fantastic adventure, they also make a discovery that will forever illuminate mankind.“

I love Torben Kuhlmann's alternative history books. The best part is his breathtaking illustrations. I feel like I could walk right into them.

At first I was confused about what Thomas Edison had to do with oceanography. But unlike Kuhlmann's other books, the main character does not parallel the famous human namesake. Instead this book features a young mouse named Pete who is searching for his ancestor's lost treasure.
