Really like Antigone by Anouilh.
Well written, with some humorous parts. From the beginning, the fate of the different characters is divulged, but despite knowing, we are hoping for a different ending.

I enjoyed the French interpretation of the classic Sophocles' play. Check out my essay here: https://wp.me/p935Rf-tl #amreading #bookworm #bibliophile #bookish #booknerdigans #bookblogger #tsundoku #greatreads #readmorebooks #coolgirlsread
TNG 3.09 #TheVengeanceFactor I like this episode, despite it trying to convince us Riker is irresistible to women. The plot would have worked better without the romance being forced in it. A story of mystery and multi-generational vendetta that unfolds logically into (Greek) tragedy. It's basically an Antigone retelling in the future. Therefore, I tagged my favourite retelling by Jean Anhouil.

I read this in translation in high school and then found this copy in a used bookstore when I was in college. I always loved the fact that it was allowed to be staged in occupied France because to the Nazis it was just an old Greek play, but the to the French it was a direct criticism of the Nazi regime. #minimalistcovers #jubilantJuly @RealLifeReading
