Delightfully wittySavannah Breeze is a detective story with a beachy twist. Southern Living Mary Kay Andrews takes us back to Savannah, Georgia, in Savannah Breeze, the uproarious sequel to her blockbuster New York Times bestseller, Savannah Blues. Breeze is the story of BeBe Loudermilk, a Southern belle whod dearly like to get back at the handsome, two-faced con man who swindled out of everything she owns except for a broken-down 1950s-era motel on Tybee Island. Joining BeBe on a revenge-inspired road trip south to Fort Lauderdale is her junking friend Weezie, the heroine of Blues, and a car-full of lovable misfits. Readers with a taste for the novels of Fannie Flagg, Jennifer Crusie, Adriana Trigiani, and Emily Giffinnot to mention Rebecca Wells and Sweet Potato Queens queen Jill Conner Brownewill adore this delightful take on the New South and one womans discovery of whats really important in life.

A low pick but it was a quick read. The characters were good. Made me remember my trip to Savannah and Tybee Island a few years ago. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked the 1st book of the series but this one was so-so. I wrongly assumed from the first book that the women were in their 40s or 50s. Finding out they‘re in their 30s was a bit disconcerting! I also had a bit of a laugh when Blockbuster and Radio Shack were mentioned in the same chapter!😄 The story itself was a bit long-winded with a lot of characters. I think all the male villains molested the main characters to some extent. It was too much.

Reading a book with beach chairs on the cover while sitting in a beach chair? Heaven! I love that MKA switched up the protagonist with this one, but we still got to check in with Weezie. The romance wraps up a little too easily for me, but that's a minor complaint. I giggled so much while reading this that my sister-in-law wanted to record me reading it and giggling.

I miss Trading Spaces.

ScrappyMags Love the early ones with Hildy! Remember the ones where they HATED it? 💗💗💗 7y
johnnie_cakes @ScrappyMags Hildy was the best! She had no fucks to give. If I was in the show I would be torn between wanting to work with Genevieve and having her do my room. 7y

This book was just okay. I think I'm tired of books about "strong" women who fall in love with men who treat them like crap basically because they are threatened by the woman. Also the ending to this felt rushed.

KathyWheeler Plus the woman always comes around to the man's way of thinking if there's a huge difference in lifestyle or disagreement on life choices. It would be nice to read a book occasionally where the man came around to the woman's way of thinking. 7y
