pickSolidly between a pick and a so-so. This charming graphic novel turns humans' destruction of nature into a dangerous creature that attacks the world's spirits and kills of what nature is left. Two protectors of a sanctuary find and take in a human girl, and it's a point of contention. This was a fun read and I LOVE the elementals, but some parts of the story felt unearned and expressions were hard to identify. #nature #elemental #comic

pickThis #kidlit #graphicnovel follows two guardian spirits as they rescue Vijaya, a human girl, and bring her to their hidden sanctuary home. The magic/spiritual message is a little vague but the illustrations are so nice that almost doesn‘t matter: cute Elemental spirits, sweeping landscapes, slightly sinister guardians, and a big-eyed girl. A sweet story.
