pickCaine was a bit of a scary mystery in the previous books and now we learn the heartbreaking reasons why. I love how he was paired up with a sweet, but spicy kindergarten teacher when he saves her from a mugger. There‘s a lot of emotional and physical trauma that Caine talks about, but it‘s such a great novella.
pickThis could easily have been expanded into a full length (I say just I could get more Caine) but I loved it.
