pickLoved this MF that promotes confidence and diversity through a princess with magical curls who can do anything she sets her mind to! In a diverse classroom, PR could be a great tool to build community and celebrate differences. Pairing students from different backgrounds and having them share unique qualities about the other that makes them special could be a great way to help build the reading community and encourage one another.

MeganKlein @DMoux, the resource you provided was awesome! I loved learning more about the authors and why they were inspired to write the Princess Truly books. This book seems like a great one to have in a classroom library because it promotes diversity and self-confidence. Besides PR, I would also consider doing a DR of this book. I think children would be very engaged if this book was acted out. (edited) 6y
