Pickpick

Manages to be both heartwarming and heartbreaking. A story of friendship between two boys with loss in their lives. Full of imagination. I loved the setting in remote Canada, and the relationships put me in mind of Owen Meany (although a very different book).

I'll be keeping an eye out for his other books now. #booksintranslation

TrishB Hopefully you‘ll enjoy along the way!! 7y
tournevis Tried to find what book it was. It's L'Iguane that they retitled from the original translated title The Iguana. I have not read it, but everyone I know who did have loved it. 7y
Oryx @tournevis Ah ok. I knew it was translated, but didn't know the original title. It's good so far! 7y
