pickMore than just a book about redoing a house, I really liked this memoir/ style guide / life lessons book. With short, wonderfully illustrated and photographed chapters, and before and afters (love those!), I enjoyed the heck out of the 90 minutes I spent with Frances. Book 5 for the #Readathon
so-soIf you are really into interior decorating books, this book is for you. The so-so rating is because I would have liked to read more about architecture and the Hamptons, where this cottage happens to be. It also is more of a memoir than I expected (not a bad thing in this instance though). I liked this way of storing/displaying books! I'd actually put this in between "pick" and "so-so" if I could.
Page 9 of the only book I ordered on Amazon prime day. Makes me wonder when *our* old house will start loving us back! But it's not that old; 1980 contemporary; bought last year! Today it's the electricals in the kitchen! I had to make coffee in the living room. Flipping the fuses didn't help.
Ordered this as a Prime Day deal. Hope I like it! A few more book deals I'm "watching " but unfortunately not too many that I really gotta-have.
