A vulnerable woman just out of an abusive marriage loses her mother just as she is tasked with organizing an international conference on combating violence against women. She meets two men online, in a grief group and through work, and wonders if they are who they seem to be. Timely but I just didn‘t enjoy it or the writing. Multiple cars in the family means multiple trips for service or tires or whatever. As much as I hate paying for new tires, I‘m glad the kid was with me to appreciate how much cars cost since he sometimes forgets it‘s a privilege for him to have a car at all, even if it is old and the air conditioning doesn‘t work. Also glad I brought my next review book along to keep me busy while we wait.
