#Aprella #ItsAShame 🌺It's a shame that this is the first year I've taken a poetry session at the writers workshop I went to last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed myself & our instructor-the author of this book. Poetry can intimidate me, but she made it easy & fun. The theme was defamiliarization & we did yoga breathing, wrote from our least-preferred sense, made blackout poems & wrote about images from the below tagged book. Her book is lovely too.

I look at the photo and think that I really should have ironed the scarf. 😆 I go to this one (this was my fourth year) mainly because I love learning and discovering local authors and it helps even with my work writing and blog, but you never know. There may be a book in me someday. 😉 7y
