Farley Mowat took much of this book from Dian‘s own journals/writings, and fills in the rest. “Gorillas in the Mist” focuses more on the gorillas themselves, whereas this (while including some of the gorillas) focuses more on Dian and the politics and relations with the various people involved. It would be a dream for me to study wild animals in the wild! So I really enjoyed this. Cont in comments...
I appreciate everything that Dian Fossey stood for. This biography written by the author of Never Cry Wolf shows deep understanding of her feelings, her passions, and her dreams. Excellent read about an amazing woman.
Thanks for the fantastic #5kgiveaway @ErinSueG Just got there myself the other day! Too hard to choose one book, but the tagged one made me cry, and rarely have I felt so many feelings throughout a book!
