Some of these touched my soul, others slipped past my feeble mind, but the best? Those I held on my tongue and whispered to myself as incantations. Loved this! 🔮

A little poetry for National Poetry Month.
I picked this up a few weeks ago after reading the first poem which resonated deeply with the weather, the season, and my mood that afternoon.
I was lucky to find this. It turned out to be one of those rare volumes in which I clearly saw myself reflected in words, people, and places I didn‘t know.
While I don‘t expect most readers to share this deeply personal response to the book, I‘d recommend the writing to anyone looking for new poetry.

“I go along, I get along, but I‘m not quite free.”
...and
“Here I draw the arc of two words: just is.”
I tried. I really did try for World Poetry Day, but poetry still isn‘t my thing.
