(1982) This was the bestselling book in the U.S. for 1982, a brief fictionalization of the Spielberg film, aimed at a younger audience and generously illustrated with stills from the movie. It's an unmemorable piece of marketing but does the job it's given. Nothing else to say except (1) wow it was a nice change of pace after the 1,200-page potboiler that was 1981's bestseller, and (2) WTF M&Ms !?!?!?!!

swynn @Ruthiella Exactly! And it was a big deal that they were RPs -- it's how I learned the term "product placement." But apparently they were M&Ms in the original script, and I guess this book was written based on that and nobody bothered to change it. 2y
