Pickpick

First,I‘d like to thank Goodreads for picking me as a winner to receive a copy of this book.Second-I‘ve decided to try really hard to never read the book reviews before I read a book. The reviews on this book almost had me convinced not to read it.I‘m so glad that I took a chance, because I ended up really enjoying it.It‘s a story about growing and leaning. Its about hitting rock bottom and bouncing back. This author did a great job on her first novel

Because books, the good ones, the ones you hold on to and come back to, they never disappoint. They're the best kind of escape because, instead of leading you away from your-self, they end up circling you back to yourself, nice and easy, helping you see things not just as they are, but as you are too.

Although I 100% do not regret walking the 11,000 steps to and from the grocery store this afternoon... but I definitely DO regret my choice of footwear! 😂These boots have ruined my feet, and I‘ll be surprised if I can move tomorrow!😂😂 #BookFitnessChallenge

alisiakae Ouch! Foot bath time! Way to go for walking, AND carrying the groceries home! 6y
LapReader I don‘t have a car so I cart stuff around with me all the time. I will never forget the time my perfectly fine shoes just disintegrated on me. I had to sticky tape them back together at my destination then I promptly threw them in the bin when I arrived home. Hope your next walk goes better. 6y
TheSpineView Yikes! Maybe a good soak in Epsom salt will help. 6y

Caterina Sometimes you don't know how uncomfortable your boots are until you wear them for a LOT of walking, I've definitely learned this the hard way too 😂 Great job getting all that walking in, and with heavy grocery bags to boot! (😉) 6y
monalyisha All the time #same. So hard to give up fashion for functionality! 6y

“I wanted change to happen all at once; I wanted the arc of justice to hurry up and finish its rainbow right in my lap. But that‘s not how it works. Real change, lasting change, takes a long time.”

Bailedbailed

The concept of the book sounded interesting. English major turned to advertising to get a job, makes a lot of money. Falls in love with a client.... I put it down and was going to bail but I tried it again. I just couldn‘t get into it. It felt whiny and I didn‘t care about the characters.
