Enjoyed last week going to the beach with my daughter and her husband, children and Galaxy her dog. We went to the over sand area where you can drive your truck on the beach. It‘s a lot easier than having to carry everything to your beach area as your car is parked right on the sand. Enjoyed watching the Assateague ponies meandering all over too. You need to hide your carbohydrate snacks as they will invade them for sure!
Last day of our holiday 🙄 beach day with my book 🏝📚❤
This was bizarre as the first installment of a mystery series in that no crime was committed. One was planned but by the time we found out about it the would-be perpetrators had changed their minds. Also, local colour is all very well but we don't all have a detailed map of San Francisco in our heads. I will take this as an extended introduction and read the next in the series but it's going to have to be good to persuade me to continue past that.
Around the time of her divorce, Ruth sent Tim an obituary notice from the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. A farmer near Worthington died at 102 years old. He‘d lived his whole life within fifteen miles of where he was born in the same house where he died. One day when he was a young man he rode a horse across the state line into Iowa, just so he could say that he‘d been someplace, but he came right back. He knew where he belonged.
Thoughts on this, Litsy?😂😂. It‘s apparently pretty affordable on Amazon!
I have been having sooooo much fun catching people reading on the beach the past few days and trying to peep out what books they are reading!! The ones I have been able to peep out so far were a Ted Dekker book and The Devil in the White City. What books have you read on the beach this summer?
Not a bad way to spend a day. Finishing up Dear Martin.
