pickRomance is not a typical genre for me, but I went ahead and bought one. My excuse was that Yates is a local author and I recognized the setting and places she was describing.
Of course, the setting descriptions didn't last long! I'm not gonna lie - I didn't hate the other kinds of descriptions 😂
It was fun and a nice departure from my normal reading.

pickMaisey Yates is one of my go to authors when I am looking for a good romance novel! I was looking forward to this book because it is the start of her new series. I was lucky to find it out early at my local Walmart and inhaled the book on the last day of my three day weekend. I look forward to revisiting Gold Valley in the upcoming books!
