Three Thousand Stitches
Three Thousand Stitches: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives | Sudha Murty
So often, it's the simplest acts of courage that touch the lives of others. Sudha Murty-through the exceptional work of the Infosys Foundation as well as through her own youth, family life and travels-encounters many such stories . . . and she tells them here in her characteristically clear-eyed, warm-hearted way. She talks candidly about the meaningful impact of her work in the devadasi community, her trials and tribulations as the only female student in her engineering college and the unexpected and inspiring consequences of her father's kindness. From the quiet joy of discovering the reach of Indian cinema and the origins of Indian vegetables to the shallowness of judging others based on appearances, these are everyday struggles and victories, large and small. Unmasking both the beauty and ugliness of human nature, each of the real-life stories in this collection is reflective of a life lived with grace.

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives and Wholesome Stories.
I think now the title seems complete. A short stories collection by an amazing writer, woman, social worker and business person above all. Very relatable if you're a fellow Indian. I love that the stories have deep thoughts and feelings behind, yet are so simply penned down by the writer. Loved each and every story.

(5★) Another great book I've read so far. There are 10 stories in this book, all these stories belong to the author. He has threaded 10 stories in wonderful words. Three thousand stitches is the most exciting. Then the experience of the engineering college of the author is also great. And his work for Infosys foundation is fantastic...

“We all lose a few battles in our lives, but we can win the war.”

A collection of real life stories which inspire you. A good short non-fiction.

“Confidence doesn‘t mean that everything will go our way. It simply gives us the ability to accept failures that we will inevitably meet on our path and move forward with hope.”
