Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas | Troy Little
1 post | 4 read
In proud partnership with the Hunter S. Thompson Estate, Top Shelf Productions is pleased to present Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, a delightfully bonkers graphic novel by Eisner-nominated artist Troy Little adapting Thompson s seminal book of the same name. Join Thompson's alter ego Raoul Duke on the mother of all Vegas benders, as he and his attorney Dr. Gonzo cover a motorcycle race, crash a drug-enforcement convention, and rack up obscenely large room-service bills, all while dosed to the gills on a truly spectacular assortment of mind-altering substances."

117/150 I remember trying to watch this in the theater, and walking out after the first half hour. Why this book is beloved is beyond me, it's a incomprehensible mess, a rambling, meandering story that goes no where. Is it trying to make a point, is there a moral here? Seems to be just two degenerate junkies on a spree. No thanks. 2 ⭐⭐
41st book finished for #RushathonExtended @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES @Andrew65

TheBookgeekFrau I hated this book. I wanted to bail, but kept thinking that it had to get better bc it's so loved by many; but nope. I don't know why I keep reading his books. The only one that I thought was really good was 13mo

5feet.of.fury I wonder what I would think of it now. I read it when I was in high school and me and my friends were burn outs 🍃it was pretty much required reading 😂 13mo
arlenefinnigan Could not agree more, I hated this. 13mo
RamsFan1963 @5feet.of.fury I've smoke pot, and I still have an edible now and then, but I've never been much on drugs. Almost everyone experiments in high school & college, but the behavior in this book is so alien to me I just couldn't get into the characters or the story, what there was of it. 13mo
Larkken I thought the movie was funny, but I think the book would just be too much and too long. 13mo
Andrew65 On no 😫 12mo
GHABI4ROSES That is the book for the movie? The movie is popular with my twenty-somethings but it never got my attention. 12mo
