Disappointing. I was initially drawn in by the stark prose, hypnotic in its simplicity.
But this is just another story of the mind of a psychopath. It‘s done much better in Fight Club & American Psycho. And if you want disaffected teen boys... well, they‘re everywhere.

A little dark reading for a dark and stormy afternoon. This was a quick read, and it's more about the ennui of the main character than about the crime itself. It was an interesting discussion about why people commit horrific crimes.
Boy gets tired of living, brutally murders a popular classmate, and proceeds to toy with the system and the people around it. This book appealed to my inner psychopath. My outer self is in pieces on the floor. Book hangover will now commence. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
